Friend looking for horse

I have a friend who is looking for a horse. Last week one of her horse's threw her, hurting her pretty bad, so she has decided to sell her. This comes as a very hard decision for her because her father bought her the horse a few years ago, she's tried everything under the sun from chiropractic care, massage therapy, different saddles, pads, etc to help this horse become a better riding horse. The problem is the horses shoulder is out from an injury before she got her, and there's so much scar tissue built up now, that it will never be normal. This lady is in her 50's, so since her father bought the horse for her, she was planning on keeping it forever. Her father didn't notice her shoulder as he's not a horse person and they told her she was completely broke, etc, but isn't nothing what they said. Anyway, she's tried everything for her but it's just not going to work, so she's in the market now for a horse. She's very experienced as she's broke and trained several horses in the past. She is prefering a mare, at least 14.3 hands and is broke to ride with some trail experience. Would prefer a mare that is not alpha, wants one laid back that doesn't like to fuss with other horses. She has a mare now that she's going to have forever so wants one that will get along with her. She would consider a gelding also. She would like the horse to be close to the washington area as this is where she lives and would like to be able to go out and look at the horse.

My friend will provide the best forever home for a horse. She treats her horses like kids as she is retired and is at home with them 24/7. She puts them up at night and lets them out some during the day. She truly loves her horses and takes great care of them. I can guarantee that.

Thanks Tracey - I'll forward her your email. Well, Id say she could work with getting more miles on them as long as they are calm and sensible. She just dont want a alpha horse that is going to bully her mare now or a gelding that is studish. She wants to keep things quiet as possible at the barn, which is why she's looking at mares, so her mare now wont be so bad when she's in heat as she would be if she had a gelding there. She's really wanting a spanish type horse, Andalusian, Lusitano, Kiger but they are all so expensive so she is open to other breeds.

No she never did find what she was looking for. She just took her old arabian gelding that she had for at least 15 years I believe-back that she had leased out to a 14 year old girl who was learning to ride and now has lost interest in him because she got a younger more fiesty horse, so there agreement was that my friend would take her back if she didnt want him anymore, so she did and still have the horse who threw her as of right now so she can't take in another horse right now with winter coming up.
