I just wanted to thank everyone for their input on the wonderful sounding little guy I won last weekend. I have talked with Renegade's foster Mom and with Lisa. They make me want to come up and get him RIGHT NOW but I have to be patient and wait for the BLM year to be up. It will make adoption easier for all of us. Lisa is kind enough to let me leave him at her place until after Nov 7th. It looks like about a 16 hour drive home after we pick him up and not much faster going north. We live between Fresno & Bakersfield in Exeter. That's the Gateway to Sequoia National Park and lots of orange groves.
This will be the first horse I have owned and fortunately, my husband is an old hand with horses. I have loved and wanted one that looks just like Renegade since I was a very young girl. I rode with a group for 4 years which included Gymkhana during the summer months. Not starting to ride until I was 50 made it all a wonderful and sometimes very exciting experience. I was Grandma as most of the kids were 4 to 16 years old. That gave me the chance to experience many different horses, mostly quarter and Arab so with what I am reading, it sounds like Renegade and I will get along fine.
Thanx again for the opportunity to own my very first horse.
Nina (9a)

Congratulations NINA!!!! Please be warned that it is almost impossible to own only one Kiger. Once you have one, you will want more!!! This is a special colt with some beautiful movement! Stay in touch with us and let us know how Renegade and you are coming along. Pics are required. ;D
