Thanks again tiffany for posting for me! so i am thinking a sooty bay with points?? she has not completly shed out yet but this is pretty much her color i think, she has a dorsal or mabey its countersading i am not sure. WE also think we have her name picked out.....Mesa de oro.. the de oro part means "of gold" what do ya think about name and color?

I'm no good with baby colors. I'd just call her a dark bay, but keep an eye on any changes. Those legs look mighty light up in the hock region. Whatever she is, she's adorable!

The light color is baby hair that is falling out she had really light legs as a new born. I really like her dark patches on the top of her rump and over her sholders, looks unique.

She looks a lot like my 3 year old Juneau. I would call him a dark bay, although he does have a hard edged dorsal and shoulder patch year round.

Watch that dorsal and see if it sticks with her year round. She just may be a dark bay dun or a dark bay. Whatever the color, she is beautiful! And I like the name you have chosen!
PS: My favorite color for all breeds is a nice dark bay with little to no white. ;D

She looks like she might be a seal brown. She doesn't appear to have a dorsal stripe, but rather counter shading which gives the illusion of a dorsal stripe. The difference is that a dorsal stripe should be a crisp and strong line. A line that is counter shading will shade off and will not be a clearly defined line.
