We had a great weekend. I drove the motorhome, hubby pulled the horse trailer with my truck. As there are some steep hills to climb to our destination and I am afraid the motorhome is old and tired, in other words, not pulling the horse trailer these days....LOL. We did get in one day of riding, I wish there could have been more but there was alot fun to be had at the lake with a bit of drinking as well. The weather was warm and pleasant and the company of friends was a joy. I just have a couple of pictures I seemed to have forgotten' my camera when we actually went riding. Our camp at our friend's property.. The horses in their rope corral, Lana and Mystie... No Mustangs were on this trip, most of the riding is done on roads we have to share with motorcycles and trucks pulling boats and such. We brought our horses that are traffic savvy.

Are all your horses so good that a rope corral keeps them in? I saw that and my first thought was - there better not be anything to eat on the other side or my horses would walk through it LOL. Sounds like a wonderful, fun and relaxing time. Glad you enjoyed it so much.

Yes, all my horses that have been with me for awhile are pretty good about staying behind a rope. You practice at home first with electric fencing, some horses learn to never test it. But really if you use enough rope and give them a big enough space they rarely go beyond it. If by chance one does it won't be out of the sight of his buddies. The first night my daughter new horse Lana did get out. My husbands dog let us know, when we looked out the window she was trying very hard to get back in the rope corral. She is so very buddy sour really, after that oops she never made that mistake again and stayed put by Mystie.
