Bayo Halconero, our long awaited colt by the Lusitano stallion Hipo...this is our "golden child" this year!! Thin skinned and aside from the stripes, looks like a little prodigy to his bull fighting lines. He is just three months old: Bayo Brisa Fresca, purebred filly by Desi out of Hija. I did not plan on keeping this one, but she is really something. About the sweetest thing with Desis' easy going temperment - can't wait to see how she grows up! She'll be three months old this week... Bayo Raposa Morocha. Another WOW Factor filly! By Hipo out of Belleza. Her movement is just incredible, she sits back while her legs just fly out in front of her and her hind legs just motor under - 'course I can't seem to get a good pict of it yet! She won't be three months old until after the middle of the month - right now she looks like she is molting! Bayo Isadora, our other Desi filly out of Momma. What can I say...she is a TANK! She is going to be both tall and wide, but you would be surprised how she can flat move, like she has springs on her feet! It is very surprising to see her be so light when she prances around. Bayo Nitroso, no Kiger in this guy....by the Lusitano stallion Lusidas and out of Chilli. Can't wait to show this one!

Ooohh goodness. These make me very happy thank you for finally posting some. ;D
Hawk. Whoa. His whole body screams LUSITANO at me. That head makes me melt. Drool.
Brisa still has that very sweet but mischevious look in her eyes. And I TOLD you she was going to have that funky reddish tint to her!
I don't think ChaCha is going to grow into those legs. Wowzas them things are long. She is very stunning.
Dory is ginormous. Thick thick thick. Her mane looks like the white kinda grew out.. am I right? That's very odd.
I've also decided I'm very in love with Nitro. He is beautiful. I love his mane still sticking straight up in the air! He is such a character!

Glorious! I'd love to come sit in your pasture and watch them play. You really caught each one of them.

WOW! You've got some nice ones there Michelle. Great job. It's wonderful to see the different cross's. Looks like the kiger can cross with most any horse and get a good looking foal. The quarter cross is awesome...that's a very stocky girl.

They are wonderful foals indeed, each so great and unique on their own. I tell you I would have a real hard time deciding which ones to part with. At this point I would want to hang on to each and everyone to see how they develope.

Em, yes, Brisa is quite the trouble maker and she is definately a funky reddish color, but has the black points. She does have tons of stripes like Hija, but they are mottled because she got the sooty from Des. Dorys' mane is still white in the center and red around the edges - another weird color from Desi. She will either shed out next spring as a sooty dunalino or maybe she has the flaxen thing going - who knows?! Yes, I like Nitro too, but he is still stand-offish most of the time. I am not used to that with the Kiger foals we have.
Thanks for all the nice comments on our little group of foals this year! We have two more around that you'll see pop in and out of picts...Lynns' Quarter Horse colt, Zues and the filly that the Kiger mare from the adoption had, Cali. Next year we have 7 due if everyone took and Lynn has one. Hija is also bred, but I sold her. Sage and Leza are not bred this year - Sage is for sale and both are getting some training this winter! Sage is still quite the wild-child and Leza needs a refresher! Since Sage was taken out of the main herd this summer and Sycha did not foal out, Leza has taken over and has gotten quite the big head about it all!
This year I plan on getting some videos up and hope to get some good ones of the foals playing. Brisa and Hawk are not in the main herd because of Sage, so it will be interesting when he and the other two colts get together. He sure thinks he is the big man on campus! Luckily Zues is pretty mild and Nitro is not very dominant so things may be just fine.
The hardest one to bring into the herd will be the wild mares filly, Cali. She has had to be seperated because of the mare and is a real pistol. At night we have Morgan and Zues in with them, so that is helping some - though Zues just takes whatever she dishes out!
