FINALLY got some new picts of Nesa (Montanesa). Considering the small amount of time I have actually spent working with her, she is doing very well. I can put a rope around her neck and lead her around the pen, she is not crazy about it when I do a makeshift halter, but she is getting better. She is not afraid of much, so it is more of a challenge to convince her of things sometimes. I took these today... |

She reminds me a bit of Charro, the head and neck at least. I can see why you chose her, very feminine and nice action.

Dianne, funny you say that...I was surprised when I put Nesa and Charro together how they looked like two peas in a pod! I was planning on breeding a replacement colt for Charro with him and Leza, but maybe for what I want, Char and Nesa may be a better match!

It would be interesting to see how their DNA compares. I do think if you want another Charro that is the match. I think Charro's build is rather unique for a Kiger, that neck is hard to come by and what many Kiger mares need.
