of my new blacksmith. I had a new guy come out to shoe my TB mare yesterday. He did a great job and was super good with her, even though she acted like a silly idiot. So I told him that if he was gonna be my farrier, he needed to meet Tesoro so they could get to know each other before he actually needed to work on him.
We walked in the pen, I got a halter and lead on Tesoro, and let him walk up to the farrier. Come to find out this guy has Mustangs too! That right there kinda sold me on him. But then T-man let him pet him all over, pick up both front feet, and even picked up his back feet! I've never picked up his back feet! T-man stood there like a pro. The farrier commented on how nice a horse he is, and kept saying over and over "I think you really got yourself something there".
And T-man really really likes my little girl. She's 5, and he's totally fascinated with her. He was following her around yesterday with no halter or lead, and with his head down to her level. Then he stood there at least 10 minutes hanging his head so she could pet him between the eyes. Of course I didn't have the camera with me. The farrier kept commenting on how gentle and smart T-man was. I was a proud mama, human and horsey! Amanda

You should be proud! I like this farrier a lot. He reminds me of mine who is also the best trainer I've ever seen. Its wonderful to have someone so understanding of your bright boy.
