Thought I'd post this - it will be coming on again July 29 at 10. I missed it but my friend watched it and said it was very good. It's where prisoner's gentle and break a wild mustang. Might be able to learn some stuff also from watching them learn. Sometimes I learn a lot from watching someone else that don't know much learn - they will make the mistakes - instead of watching a trainer work a horse, because a trainer already has the routine down and doesn't make many mistakes, even though the horse may be new to the trainer and the horse doens't know, the routine stays the same and the trainer has been in those situations time and time again, so knows what to do quickly. Anyway - just thought Id let everyone know its coming on www.sundancechannel.com/films/500321667

Yes, I can't wait to watch the documentary. Shall be interesting.
You just don't see a lot of horse shows on television anymore. Used to see westerns all the time, now they don't make many anymore - Young Guns, Silverado, Hang 'em High, and of course - Lonesome Dove. There was this guy at a barn I used to visit and he looked just like Guss off of Lonesome Dove. In fact, they called him Guss just because of that.

My daughter and I just watched the show....I was disappointed they gave up on one of the mustangs and will send him to long term holding....Sounds like if the euthanasia program starts, these facilities will be the first place horses are eliminated at....Knowing what might be looming on the horizon, the ending was bittersweet.....But a great look at a program that can really change some men and mustangs....

I have watched the program where the prisoners train dogs. This will be a first for me to watch them train horses.
