Thought I'd crosspost -
With all the horses available for adoption at the rescue farm (www.savethehorses. org), I just don't have the perfect horse for this special situation.
We are looking for a special horse for a special boy. Quin is 11 years old. He is 4 1/2 feet tall and weighs 70 pounds. He has Cerebral Palsy and Autism. He loved to ride him pony that recently passed away. Quin now needs another loving companion horse to lightly ride around the family farm. His mom leads him around. This is the best physical and emotional therapy this child can have. They have a nice pasture and are trying to rebuild their barn before winter. The horse can be older but must be sound to walk and trot. They can't afford a high maintenance horse because Quin's care is so expensive with his special needs. Quin's mom doesn't need a horse with special needs because she home school's Quin and takes him to his doctor's 2 hours from their home near the GA/SC border. They really needs a steady, quiet horse that can adapt to an unsteady rider and outbursts from Quin's autistic behavior. Look around your horse pastures and your neighbors pastures. Someone out there has the perfect horse just waiting for some special attention. This horse needs to be donated. There will be no charge to the Quin or his family. We also are going to transport free of any charge also so if you can hep with transport by a donation for gas or you are willing to pick up the horses and drive it to meet Quin, please let me know. It is going to take a caring group effort but it is worth million's to Quin and his Mom.
Do you have a perfect safe horse that can keep this child's life happy.
