She is really cute, Dara! You never know for color, but I would say if she has a dorsal stripe, I would call her a dun.
Who is the dam? Apologies if you already posted that, it's been a busy few weeks.
Is Mijo Jeannie Langley's stud? If so, tell them I said hi. He's a real nice horse.

Well the filly was 2 weeks old yesterday and mom is finally starting to relax alot more. Ellie was usally a very affecinate horse that loved attention. After the filly was born Ellie would do about any thing to get away from me.Ellie is now coming to me for good old fashion scratching sessions and hiding her head in my arms. It feels good to know she still loves me! The filly loves my hugs and scratches too. She will let me pick up all her feet and brush her everywhere . I find it amazing that she already nickers when i come out of the house to see them.

Oh how very cute, I love baby nickers. I am glad Ellie has decide it is OK for you to come around again and has relaxed into being mom. Also how great the your filly loves all your attention as well. Have you decided on a name yet? I know sometimes it can be a battle to find the perfect name. If not any idea what type or kind of name you would like for your filly so we all might help you out ?

Yes i would love name suggestions!Moms(Ellie) reg name is dancing laural, i dont like it but that is what it is. Sire(mijo) is Mesterio de oro, i dont know what that means, but most of his babies have part of that in it. A few i have tried are llina, ruby, junebug or june and most didnt seem to fit. My mom is the real owner of ellie and filly, i have been the care taker of her since we bought her as a two year old and i have done ALL the leg work for training and vet care ect. Ellie was like my horse for 5 yrs, mom paid most of the bills and i did the work. So names also need to be ok'ed by my mom also. My mom and i are like best friends but this situation is getting hard to deal with and mom has also decited to sell Ellie:( . I am sad but it Ellie needs a home with someone who will use her, i may try to sell her as a package with filly. Note, my mom is not a horse person and really knows little about horses, she fellin love with ellie and i sweet talked her in to buying her. I look forward to seeing what names you all come up with! Thanks, Dara

What breed is Ellie's dam and do you have pictures of the dam? That's too bad about your mom wanting to sell her. I like to give a baby name and then let the buyer name the filly. But Mija de Oro (the feminine form of Mijo) would be cute. Its pronounced Me ha.
