Not only am I waiting for a foal to be born, but I am trying to write a story book with pictures I have made and chalked of farm animals for my unborn grandchild. The animals are each telling a story, and their is a moral teaching in each one and it is hard to do it and not get carried away, stay interesting for all who reads it to my grandchild. So needless to say I am going bonkers between the two.... But it is fun, something for him or her made with love and hand made to boot.

got 13 pages done front and back per animal, in the book, It is turning out to be so much fun. I have a barn owl named Bartholomew, well I could not figure how to put him in a barn, so i drew a tree and he is perched in the tree telling his story. And a Chicken named Minnie Penny who is a teacher teaching these animals the morals they are telling to my grandchild. I always wondered, how animals would act if they could have been heard, and what would they teach us, so hence this book.

Nola, How wonderful!!! I hope that we get to sample the finished product! The book is something that will always be treasured. What a labor of love! I have a book and a handmade doll that were given to me at age 2 that are still precious to me. I recently scrapbooked my daughter's life with her horses and gave it to her for her birthday. Her childhood horse is 38 years old and she still has her. They were quite the successful pair in the shows. Her first show they came in first place and my husband captured a series of wonderful photos. I had made her show outfit and she loved it so much that she still has it. When I did the page for this very memorable event, I made the background look like her prized shirt. My daughter sobbed when she opened the album, and she went over every detail. She said that it was the best gift that she could ever have. It remains a work in progress. Linda D No doubt that your story books will be treasured family heirlooms. Don't forget to sign them!

I enjoyed doing it. farm animals teaching about morals and stuff. The teacher's name is Minnie Penny she is a tiny chicken who teaches about the Bible, and Book of Mormon. each animal teaches about lets one is on Judging people, just things on that order. I hope the baby will enjoy it. I also added ants for the hen, bee's for the frog to catch, the owl is sitting in a tree talking, just fun stuff.... told through the eyes of an animal.... I will be sure to sign it, thanks..
