So, he's been home for 7 days today. And we've made some nice progress! I managed to rehalter him on his 3rd day home. He walks up to the fence and lets me pet him. He LOVES grain, lol. And today he approached me out in the pen for the first time and ate grain from my hand! He's been to unsure of himself to approach me in the open until now. And today I introduced my 4 year old daughter to him. She's in love too, lol. He came right up to investigate her through the fence and even let her pet him! Pics of course! Holding her hand out for him to sniff Petting him on the nose Reaching for her through the fence Taking grain from my hand

love the picture, and if he is anything like my Kiger Stormy, he will be letting you all over him soon, and letting your daughter around. Our Stallion Riddle, when he was introduced to our grandkids he was so gentle, but then when he met our 9 month old granddaughter I saw a change in him a good kind, he followed us all around keeping his eyes on her, he sniffed her all over and was just amazing with her and her siblings.

Thanks for sharing the pictures he really is looking good and doing so well. I love to watch horses and kids it does amaze me so. My friend recently brought all 6 of her kids over to see the new mule but I happened to have my Kiger filly out, they ran up to her and just started petting on her, I was very proud of her, she never flinched, they went right for her belly that was what the could reach. I forgot how well kids are for desentizing horses. My Clydesdale that ignores folks that come over came trotting over to the gate to entertain little people, she loves kids it seems and they screamed and giggled, at her loud lip flapping when they fed her pieces of grass hay. This head shy beast let them touch and rub her face. I love the second pic' where Tersoro is sticking his nose out of the panel asking for more attention.

What a love! You three are doing great together. He's going to be all that you dreamed of. Have his back legs continued to improve as he puts on condition? I'll be it was just temporary due to being skinny, loosing muscle and not enough movement.

Tesoro is doing great! I haven't seen him limp or drag his hind end at all in the past 3-4 days. Today we worked on giving to lead line pressure, and he was taking big steps towards me. He'll also eat grain out of my hand. I took his lead rope off, I was afraid it was going to rub sores on his face from him stepping on it so much. I can pet him on the face and chin, but so far nowhere else. I haven't pushed the issue. I'll start with the bamboo pole this weekend probably and see where we go from there. He's just so darned smart! He plays with things, and he's mouthy and inquisitive. I am so in love with him, lol!

Yep, we figured you were gone over him. Looks like he's a great guy for it to happen to and it won't be any time until its a two way street.
