Thank you all for the nice welcome.
I live in Southwest WA.Pedro came from La Center WA. My hubbs came home one day and said Merry Christmas. ( It was after Christmas ..lol) My husband thought/thinks Pedro is #1.Pedro had a rough start but is settling down, after much effort.

Pedro for President....I think he would run Democrat. He is a nice boy. He is a bit bossy at times and wants to be the dominate one(horse). You can't take away whats been bred into them . He is very suspicious of everyone and usually snorts a warning. Some people he will tolerate and others he will let approach ..after many hours of giving him treats and telling him sweet nothings.... My plan is to gentle him myself. With the help of my hubbs and friends,we are breaking/training him to ride. I would love to do a few local parades and trail ride...maybe team penning..in ten years..LOL. I just need to work on confidence that we are fearless. Thanks again for the nice welcome and interesting reads.

First of all...Welcome Kimmie...glad you decided to join up. I case you haven't figured out J...ya..it's me, your aunt. secondly...People...let me tell you how MODEST she is being. I met Pedro shortly after she aquired him. He may have well be a Wild BLM horse...lemme tell ya! Actually...I think a BLM horse would have been easier. You see that avator where she is touching him? I would have said Yeah Riiiiiiiight (ok...I actually I did say that lol along with something to the line of...Have you lost your friggen mind???). He was 'fraidy cat, nut case! As far as I am concerned...what she (and her husband) have done with this horse thus far is practically a miracle. I kid you not. From where he was the day the brought him home....to now...it is nothing short of AMAZING. They are two truly dedicated (aka crazy) people lol But I am betting she'll be on the trail with that horse before I am on mine...and uh..MINE was gentle when I got him
