We'll be there Thursday and Friday to view the horses, such a thrill! Then the auction is Saturday, Oct. 3rd. People can go view the horses at the Burns Corrals anytime after they are captured, don't know that date. Stacey or KIm K have you heard the roundup date, usually in August?? Be sure to post lots of pictures here if you go early!

Just heard late July or August for the roundup. Final date to be determined. Whoohoo! I wonder if they will be able to catch Blaze or VanGough? Such smart horses!

Can't wait to see what is gathered. You can guarantee with the late gather that all mares will be re-bred by then. So lots of babies to come after adoption!

I've heard that the BLM has decided to do early release on the HMA, or not capture the horses they want to stay out on the range. So happy! Much less stress and upheaval for the horses.

Is there any more news regarding the groups that want to stop the Kiger gathering? Will there be a nonprofit group selling memorabilia ie cups pictures calendars for 2016 shirts ect to help the Kigers?

The west is in drought, including eastern Oregon. While the selection of the horses released, and the low numbers returned to each HMA should be improved IMO, it would be a shame to see these horses in an overpopulated condition in a drought.
