Although she is not a Kiger Mustang she is Fantasy's BLM Mustang dam, Salsa, when I purchased her she was already gentled but still a touch wild. I thought I would add this before and after 3 months photo. To prompt you guys to post before and after pictures of some of the Kiger Mustangs you purchased and how they shaped up later. ;D I thought I should add this is her now 11 yrs later

This is Firefly before... when I first got her accepting the halter and leadrope and not rearing and backing and running and such. She still wasn't accepting any real body contact, that's why she had knots of fur down by her belly and such. It took a while to get her to accept some really indepth brushing in order to get those all out. And of course you've seen many of her after pictures but here's another.

Only in her summer coat does Salsa shine that lovely red bay.
kigerfan...WOW what a big change in Firefly she grew from that fuzzy baby to such a beautiful lovely lady. Firefly is just so shiny and bright, I can really understand how you are so proud of your girl.

She's the princess of the ranch, everyone talks to her and everyone gives her treats, it's amazing she isn't the size of an elephant by now. When she sheds out her winter coat I'm going to get pictures of her all tacked up so I can post those

This is such fun I love the before and after pictures and thanks nightangel for going ahead and posting yours. All I can say Is your boy must be so happy you came into his life because he looks fabulouse now he really is a handsome boy. You did great, you must tell us where you rescued him from and if he is not a Kiger or a Mustang what breed is your handsome guy.
Nola, Stormy looks great of course, she has such a sweetheart face, it is so easy to see why she stole your heart.

Nightangel, don't feel bad, that's a very valid before and after set of pictures and you should be proud of yourself for the new life you have given him. The close up you have of his face is callendar quality and I hope you consider submitting it. Stormy is beautiful,

Here's my most extreme before and after; Sunny, from Sand Springs. She was originally adopted in June 2006 by some folks who also took a dun colt and wanted to start breeding mustangs. I got her as a re-assignment horse in February, eight months later. First time out to run in 9 months, one month after I got her: And then a few months later: Cow Pup Up! Her only rider to date ;D

Nope, just ranch horse for the most part. She was still a bit light weight there; turned into a very nice little package. Still very fearful, though. No clue if it was because of her previous adopters, or if that's just the way she's programmed. Found her a new home not far from us and the woman is thrilled to be able to play with a wild one. Sunny's a perfect first step into wild...she's just frightened enough still to give you the feel of really accomplishing something, but not to the point where you a have to worry about those first few days when they can go crashing headlong into fences or walls or whatever She's a beautiful filly. Had she been taller (13.2 on her tip toes) we'd have kept her. But it was good to see her move into a home with someone who's shorter than us and who has a great passion.

You did great, you must tell us where you rescued him from and if he is not a Kiger or a Mustang what breed is your handsome guy. Thank you, I saw an ad in the paper for him and went to look at him. He was on a small farm with 11 other horses, sheep, goats, cows, and god only knows what else. It was out in the sand hills in Nebraska somewhere, we got lost looking for the place. The people we bought him from said he was a registered Arabian, but I never got hold of the papers. He sure doesn't look like he's pure arab, and he doesn't run like it either! He came with the name Dandy, and he was supposed to be "kid broke," ha yeah you know how that goes. But he has turned out very nice.

Am so glad that you got him. The horse I bought for my husband is a bay BLM Mustang now it is not one he would have picked but when i saw her and those eyes i knew, now we have had her 2 1/2 years now and she will do anything for him and he will do the same for her, I knew she was the one for him, he is now glad he did not over ride my desicion as if he could any way. nola; this is her her name is Nova:
