So I was out moving horses around and I was brushing Dollie and noticed that her bag seemed to be getting a little bigger and white dots all over the tits. I thought this was odd so I decided to try to milk her. Not only did I get milk but the right was like skim milk and the left was mores lightly more yellow. Is there another explanation for this besides pregnancy? She hasn't nursed Frodo since October first 2011

Fantasy has the same thing...still! I am sure Super still nurses now and again and yes he is 3 yrs old. It is so infrequent that I rarely if ever catch them at it. It takes a long time for a mare to really truely dry up.

Thanks tiff. That is what I was hoping was going on. They haven't been together so Frodo hasn't been nursing. I was also wondering if it had anything to do with her coming bac into heat and thinking Frodo is hot stuff.

I am not sure..I had lots of trouble with Fantasy right after weaning her and then last year with her heat cycles and such. Wish I knew all the answers wiuth these nutty mares I just don't....LOL. They don't respond or act the same, I do know excercise and diet does wonders your on the right track with Dollie putting back to work.
