Hello!
I'm new to the forum and I wanted to introduce myself to everyone.
I do not own a Kiger currently, but I would love to in the future. I've always been a big enthusiast since I discovered the breed a few years. They pretty much have all the traits I've always loved in horses: the wild heritage (like just about every young girl, I dreamed of mustangs), the beautiful dun coloring (always been my favorite horse color; I wanted a dun stallion, not a black when I was little), Spanish looks (I've always favored the smooth round lines as opposed to the leaner lines of Thoroughbreds and I love Spanish-style profiles), and I've always heard they are wonderfully intelligent partners to have when riding.
I'm getting older (31 this year), but its still one of my dreams one day to own a small farm and breed on a small scale, and Kigers are what I really want to breed.
I'm not into showing in the sense of Hunters, Cutters, etc. I love trail riding, and would love to get into things like Extreme Trail and Limited Distance. It seems that Kigers would do very well in that, which is another reason I really adore the breed.
I finally decided to try and get active with the breed a bit, and maybe have some luck meeting some others in my area. I currently live in Texas, near Houston, and if anyone is not too far from there, I'd love a chance to get to meet some real Kigers some day. ;D

Welcome! My first horse was an Arab, what I love about the Kigers is they very much bond to their people(like the Arab) and are always with you and interested in what you are doing, but they do not have the air head syndrome that the Arabs do. They are by far the best!

Thank you all! I'm really looking forward to learn more about Kigers from owners and breeders. Most of my information comes from articles online. Dianne, that is awesome! I didn't know there were Kigers doing something like that. He's a gorgeous fellow! Thank you, Michelle! I'll definitely look into it! It's a bit of a drive, but I'd love to see about arranging something. ;D
