I swear you have the nicest colts. Though you do have some amazing stock. Congrats on all the colts. I kinda feel bad if Tessa has a filly, lol

Tasa has wax tonight! Just checked on her and she was soundly sleeping, so most likely tomorrow night.
Yes, lets hope we get another colt - poor filly will be a misery with three boys mauling her!

I'm with Kigercat on this one - those poor boys might end up being the ones getting bossed around! I'm extra eager to see Tasa's foal.

Well...if anyone can boss, it would sure be a Tasa foal!! Her filly from last year, Zerlina, has enough 'tude for sure! Would have to be a special owner for that one.!
The only baby I saw last night was a baby rattlesnake under my chair in the tack room. Yes. Under my chair. So, at four in the morning, Eric and I ( well mostly Eric) were snake wrangling.
On my way out now to check...

Did you loose a snake? Or is that one of those Bull snakes or whatever the ones are that eat rattlers?

Yes, Em...you mean the one you walked past five times to get the saddle in and out of the tack room last night??? Hey. I swear the other night I saw a rat snake - no rattles. It was darker but I figured it had shed. So, yes, that was the little rascal!
Tasa is ready - dripping milk and circling in her stall.

... I want a baby rattlesnake. Just, preferably, out in the scrub where I can look at it and leave it there. Not near my filly or the pups!
Tasa just had to wait until everybody else had theirs - so that she could do it better! Though she's going to have a tough time one-upping those handsome colts.

Only if it arrives out in the scrub! Though, if it were a little Bullsnake... When we bought this property, I was so happy to find a big, fat, healthy bull snake living on it. We were very careful to keep an eye out for him when clearing the weeds and trash out, and to leave him alone. Then a guest pulled in, turned their car off the drive to park it... and ran over his head, where he was sunning himself at the entrance to a ground squirrel burrow. The ground squirrels haven't come back, but we also don't have a resident exterminator anymore.

That's funny Christine! I wouldn't mind with this foal!
Tasa is nice and relaxed after having some herbs to calm her contractions down. Dripping gobs of thick milk right now. Hopefully after all quiets down here she'll get to business!
