I have a big American flag that I put up on special days. I took it down today and I used it as a training aid. When I first went down to the field with it, Firefly shied away, but she came back immediately when I started giggling at her. By the time ten minutes went by, she was playing with the flag with her nose up in it while it waved. I finished by waiving it sideways about ten inches off her skin, over her face, over her ears, down her neck and down her back, off her tail. As it waved, it flicked her skin over and over. She was grazing by this time and barely even lifted her head. Then I put the flag away and laid down on the ground about twenty feet from her. she grazed her way over to me and snuffled all over my face and played with my hat. When she finished doing that, she grazed all around me while I played with her legs, feet, face and scratched her under belly. It started to get too cold for me so I came back up and gave her her dinner (of which she is currently eating).

You and Firefly have the kind of relationship that every little girl dreams of, big girls too.

We do have a lot of fun together When I was laying on the ground she just covered my face with horse slobber. Then when she moved a little I was scratching her belly with both hands, giving her a vigorous scratching while she grazed. It's funny, I can drive my car straight towards her and she will wait for me to get to her, then slobber on my hood, then go look in the seats to see if there is anything interesting in there. If something scares her and I giggle at her, she comes right back as if to say 'it didn't reallllly scare me' I was just pretending

Firefly was outside laying down when breakfast time came around...I grabbed a flake of bermuda and put it in front of her, then sat down sideways on her back and played with her mane and scratched her while she nibbled. When I got up to go do chores, she got up and started really eating her breakfast
