Try Karisma Kigers in Madras OR, they have a website and he's on it. He was captured in 1993.

Kiger's Cherokee Diamond is alive and well. He is 20 this year. Hard to believe...he certainly doesn't look it. Still an absolute sweetheart as are his offspring.

Thank you Jillian! I have a beautiful mare (Jewel) by Cherokee and I own the mother as well. Jewel is a very nice high-quality mare with excellent conformation and bone. She is a claybank I believe. She has a pretty head and long mane. She looks like Hollywood Dunit. She has the body of a reining quarter horse, she has a round body and a strong round hip, and she also collects nicely. I have been thinking of perhaps breeding Pocahontas (Jewel's mom) to Cherokee and maybe obtain a nice baby similar to Jewel.

Jewel is a beautiful mare. I remember seeing her at Manford's place for one of the KMA inspections. She was young and very immature then but you can see that she was going to be a looker once she filled out and blossomed. I haven't seen her since she was about 2. I'd love to see recent pics.
I have Mirage (Cherokee X Pocahontas) and Essence (Warrior X Mirage) Mirage is claybank but Essy is a lovely lemon dun. I haven't seen the lemon dun before in the breed, so she has been a puzzle for me. Standing next to mom, she definitely has the lemon cast to her coat.
I will be restarting our breeding program (took a break for a few years) next year and will be breeding Mirage to Ghost for a 2013 foal.
I'd be honored for you to use Cherokee on Pocahontas. I think that cross has produced some of the most amazing individuals of the Kiger breed. Please contact me off board @ karismakigers@yahoo.com and we'll chat.
