Here is a video that I just uploaded of Catarina and Victoria. Catarina finally doesn't have that buff coat that the grulla horses have when they are really young. Next video is of them at the LA Equestrian Center. www.youtube.com/watch?v=TdbGiisTla0

She is the exact spitting image of her mother. I love how long her stride is and how she keeps time with her moms strides, its pretty neat to see.

Thank you guys! I think that when she is mature she will look like a good even mix of hopefully all of the good points from her mom and dad. I also think that she is going to be faster than her mom. Does anyone have any pasture with some horses on it that I could stick Catarina to let her grow up? I am not apposed to having her hauled (so long as it isn't too far out there). I just really want her to grow up learning how to interact with other horses as well as learning respect. It would also be nice if the place I kept her at offered training (and knows how to handle a spirited Spanish horse. The trainer I currently have is all about force which I guess works well for her Arabs, but she is getting nothing but fight (which isn't surprising) from Catarina) so that I could have her trained when need be as she gets older. I cannot afford city boarding prices. I am hoping that the cost will be reasonable if it is further out in the country. I am having no luck finding a reasonably priced pasture board down in Southern California.

Visalia has a couple areas that are pretty cheap. one place that puts a bunch of fillies together in one pasture and colts in another and lets them grow up together, weaning until two, then they offer furtheer training I believe or there are a bunch of other trainers in the area with more gentile approaches. $8 a day not as expencive as city boarding but not dirt cheap either
