OK, my grandmother (who isn't electronic savy) figured out how to upload her photos from her camera and send them to me. So, here are the photos from the breed demo I did on 14 Aug 11 for the Sulphurs at the region 1 Andalusian championship at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center. They were very well received and I kept having people ask me who the sire was of Catarina... I thought to myself, "As though you would know who it is!" lol. Apparently I had a group of people think that she was half Andalusian and were surprised when I told them that she is a purebred. I am invited back again next year! A very successful show and got a good round of applause at the end of our demo! Victoria was like the old pro she is and didn't bat an eye lash at the show tents, flags, huge water truck that sprays the ground over two lanes wide. GREAT experience for Catarina and people were surprised that it was her very first experience away from the place she was born. Victoria was such a ham! She would perk her ears at people taking her picture and this little girl came over to take a photo next to Victoria, but she didn't stand all that close. So, I guess Victoria thought that that wasn't a very good photo so she side passed a step and then swiveled her hip around so that the mom had a great side shot of Victoria and then she stuck her head up proud and perked her ears for the camera! I laughed and the girl's mom thought that that was just hilarious!
Anyways, here are the photos of the girls after the show in the outdoor arena. The person in the photos is of my twin sister Deborah. She isn't too familiar with lunging a horse or apparently why it is important to keep the lead rope from dragging on the ground... Don't worry, I informed her what she was doing was incorrect and she got the lead off the ground. There was a video taken at the show of the girls during our demo and I am working on getting that tape!
Catarina's head looks a lot like her great grandfather The Blue Stallion here.
I hope you enjoyed the photos! I really enjoyed the experience! Hopefully I will get the video up here sometime soon.
