1999 Adoption Info?

My beautiful Kiger mare, Kitty, was a 4-6 month filly in the 1999 Kiger Adoption. I have the list of numbers for that adoption, but would love to find any info on those horses. I'd love to know who her dam was and what may have happened to her. Does anyone have the adoption results information? Thanks in advance! ~ Elsa

Your best bet is call the BLM directly and ask if they have any records that show the mare/foal pairs from that adoption. They aren't always freeze marked sequentially or noted the mare and foal pairs. My 2007 weanling I tried to track which number was her dam but they were not recorded in a way that made that possible when they freeze marked them.
But if they were recorded in 99 in a manner to determine her dams number, they may be able to tell you and if she was adopted out or re-released. I think they can give out her number, but I don't think they can tell you who adopted her. BUT with the mares number, if she was adopted out you can see what she looked like if you get your hands on a 1999 adoption catalog...and can post looking for the adopter of #### on message boards...and with a number often times other Kiger folks may know who got that particular horse etc.
Or if she was released she would still be marked and if she comes back in again you would be able to see her from her number.
Big key is the mares number and whether or not the BLM has mare/foal pairings noted from 1999.
I have 2 from that adoption but one was a yearling and the other came with her foal at her side.
