I just read a recent post done by the lady who does this blog and apparently it is for sale. It's pretty upsetting since she seemed to be one of the only ones who told it like it was when it came to bad conformation and breeding. I thought it would be fun to discuss are fav Fugly posts or fugly horse pics since they might not be up there anymore very soon. ;D Now lets see if i can find that pic of camel the percheron that was featured on there LOL.

Well i found my post already while looking over some craigslist adds. This person apparently bought four studs to train and guess what they are now running out of hay.I don't understand why people buy horses when they can't afford to keep them fed. austin.craigslist.org/grd/2494536206.html

I am not sad to see it go ..I rarely if ever visited the site. While they may have called out some irresponsible and irgnorant owners, they also hurt people I know without all the facts. Thru' stones rather then educate. At the end of the day I want to feel educated not disgusted by the cruelty of humanity. Maybe there needs to be a place for posting bad breeding practices or poor rescues. But when I see a skinny horse in a pasture my first thought isn't to post pics all over the internet, but see if someone needs my help. I at least get the complete facts before making a judgement call.

I definately see you point and a i do agree with you. When i first started following this blog it was mainly about bad breeding practices and just some of the funny things going on in the horse industry. It definately turned more radical as the years passed by. I think what enamored me to this blog was the fact that she wasn't afraid to post mistakes made by some of the top trainers in the industry. I also liked the fact that she spoke out about some of the breed associations practices. I'm sorry she hurt some people you knew, I think she should definately have done more research on some of the bigger accusations instead of just posting them. So i totally agree with you Tiffany. Lets hope somebody takes it back in the old direction it used to be in.
