I am wondering how old should nugget be to be introduced to the mares on his side of the paddock, Our Gelding I am not going to introduce him to, he attacked Mirra, took several big bites out of her, when she fell he was stomping her. now on the side where Nugget is is Flashy, Mirra, and Gypsy...but it is just three cable strands between them and shooter the gelding. I had to move him to that side along with Nova out BLM Mustang, because he was trying to bite Nugget at birth, and he and Nova made Stormy very nervous. any thoughts ideas, and advice is welcome...

Will there be a fence between them when you introduce them? Stormy will take care of him with other hores unless you have a very dominate mare, sometimes they will try to steal the baby. If there's not a fence between them when you introduce them I would wait until he's 3 weeks old.

not yet, but we are going to put up fencing some this weekend, and some more in two weeks. not sure but flashy might try to steal him away...Stormy is very protective pf m where all other horses are concerned.
