Hi, my name is Sasha and I am a new member hoping to learn all I can about kiger mustangs as I hope to own one within a year or so. Is it better to adopt or to buy from a breeder? Thank you! ;D

If your familiar with working with wild horses, adopting from the wild is very rewarding. Other wise I would purchase from a reputable breeder, who can direct you to your dream Kiger Mustang. It is easier to choose adoption or breeder if we know what your looking for in your Kiger Mustang.

The only thing about adopting is that the BLM has requirements for what kind of fencing you must have etc. Its not hard but you should get an application to see if you qualify long before the adoption, whenever it happens. You can also contract with someone who is good at gentling wild horses, like stormyranch and others and you can work it out that way.
