I would have thought so too from looking at him. But he threw two bays out of red dun mares, so guess he is not brown.

If you go to the link and look at the genetic markers they gave from his test results it says Aa which means he has one agouti gene which turns black (since he is homozigus black) to bay. Cream turns bay to buckskin and we know what sooty can do to our duns so why not to a buckskin... i just want to know who he got it from

Sire sure threw a lot of "brown" sooty horses, but they don't have the lighter muzzles. His sire was supposed to be dun but looks like a dark buckskin. www.prstar.com/ConvPrince.htm Couldn't find any pics of the dam.
