Leza is 317 days today and I am sure she will not make it to her due date! She is shaping up quickly and poor gal is miserable. Her last foal she went 330 days.   Colt Colt Colt Colt Colt Colt !!!!! Of course, a filly by Charro and Leza would be very welcome in the barn too! |

Yes...Leza does need a spa day! She will tolerate me grooming her but not into extra fussing! Some of the mares get summer hair cuts (shave manes and bang tails) but I think Leza would be very indignant if I did that to her. She even lets Dr. Mary (who does the body work) know when she is done. Funny though, if she has to pass gas, Leza walks away from her but then comes back when she's done!
Chilli, on the other hand - loves a bath and fussin'!

I don't know that Leza and Charro will give us a red dun - so far it seems all Lezas' foals are black based. Grullo would be nice!
Yup, red dun fillies - get'um by the dozen here! Dang it. I said "filly"!

Leza is coming along well; my guess is within the next week or so. Friday mornings, the mares get bodywork by Dr. Mary (and Troy too!!). Leza gets very relaxed and enjoys it a lot!   |

Her milk is still clear as of tonight and baby has been in the same position for a long time. However, she is loosening up in the hindend and not eating her hay much the last 24 hours.
