Etta is a beautiful, sensitive, quiet grulla mare who has produced two dun colts for us; one sired by Sundance the other sired by our gelding, The Sundance Kid (son of Sundance). Both colts are a lot alike in conformation, are stout, kind, curious, and one is a clown. Etta has great conformation and movement. She ties, leads, loads at liberty, hauls quietly, picks up feet, but needs to be sacked out. She is very sensitive to where I believe she'd make an awesome riding horse with subtle cues such as reining or dressage. Etta is great with people, trustworthy and the way to her heart is through carrots. My husband has done clicker training with her to accept the halter (when we first got her) and she gives kisses on command. Clicker training is a great way to work with this horse; she is never pushy. Joan, she is so beautiful!!!! Why ever would you want to part with such a gorgeous girl? She would certainly make a wonderful addition to any Kiger herd! I hope you find her the perfect home.

Thank you Kelly! Yes, she is gorgeous and will make someone a really nice horse, broodmare, riding mare, anything. We just need to thin our herd and get down to three or possibly two as I don't have the time to devote anymore. Sure wish I did but that's how life goes... Thanks for the kind compliments. ;D

Both of the mares that you have for sale are very nice, Joan, and I know they have had the best of care. Hope someone with a good home comes and snatches them up. Wish I weren't downsizing my herd.

They are nice Joan. Have either one of them ever been road?

Thanks Cheryl - They really are high quality broodmares. I am hoping for someone with a good home and that is a prerequisite too. I know that their prices are low, but will want to have the peace of mind that they're in good hands.
Angel - Niether one has been ridden. Belle is the furthest along as she was evaluated by a trainer who said she has definitely had the groundwork done, round pens, accepts the saddle without a problem at all but got a little worried when she put her foot in the stirrup. She said that she stopped there and realized Belle would need more work to be ready for a rider but not much as she's well on her way.

Oh, and one more thing - I'm hoping at these lower prices someone will take them on and have the extra money to send them to a trainer. That would be ideal... I wish I could send them off but that is extra money I don't have.
