Yea!Fellow endurance riders! Thanks for posting the pix on a rainy day out here in California. There are several kigers doing endurance on the west coast. My guy has entered 2 LD's but he's really not suited cause of his body mass...we have trails out here so narrow..don't think he could manuver them!Your mares are lovely. Please keep us updated on your adventures....I remember Annie Oakely from the old Kiger Board. You've done great with her..love the pink gear!

Its so exciting to hear about your adventures! Great pictures and beautiful horses! Annie Oakley looks wonderful. Bet Joan is busting her buttons. Say, is that powdered sugar from a donut in that last shot? Just kidding.

It does look like powdered sugar, doesn't it? Raya decided to redistribute her leg poultice. You know little Annie is really doing great. We hired a cowboy last spring to get her attitude in check and it's been smooth sailing ever since. She's a smart girl and realized quickly that a 90 pound girl is a lot more fun than a 200 pound ex-Amish trainer. Ainsley thinks she's fun because she's a little feisty - she calls my mare "boring".

Your mares are beautiful and you are doing a great job with getting them out. Is that a Belgian Sheepdog that I see in the background of one of your pics? I have owned Belgians for almost 30 years now.

On the dog - do you mean the black one in the first photo? That's my friend Joyce's dog Baby - I'm not sure what she is, I should ask! In the last photo that's our super mutt Pixley - found her at an endurance ride in Indiana almost three years ago now. She was running around camp for three days and actually followed my daughter and I down the trails for a while. On Sunday I watched as rig after rig left the place without her - figured some farm owner would just take her home. But no, they didn't - so the only person there who boards her horses and lives in a small house took the stray mutt home.
