he looks more to me like a dun...but they have him listed as a red dun! I noticed in there they said he likes to lope...so that brought to my mind a few things I read alot or hear alot about kigers. I'll start a new thread on it...

I wondered that too, hopefully she advertised him in OK as well. I know that red duns that have the sooty gene (there it is again) can have very dark manes and tails. They will have brown on their legs instead of red and the coat color can vary from year to year. I remember looking at the herd and wondering where my red dun was one winter as she looked dun.

Dianne, Diva is the same way. I was sure she was dun, but I am not anymore. Her color seems to have changed and now her points are dark brown...go figure.

I have a dun mare from the 1999 adoption whose leg points have never been black, She is, none the less, a dun. I personally think the gelding in the ad is a dark or bay dun.
