Sassy's training is going well. She's used to the pedestal now, and is learning to lay down on command now. Attachments:

I hope to get her home (Phoenix) in March. She's been in training since November 1st. I felt like she needed the advantage of more training since I'm a newbie. I'll be continuing to take riding lessons, and having more advanced riders riding her, so we'll both be in continued training for some time. I actually had planned on taking lessons, and waiting to get a well trained 7-8 year old Kiger mare. But, I kept watching and Sassy didn't get adopted a couple of times, then had an adoption fall through, then had a bad adoption with neglect/abuse, and then was about to be picked back up by BLM. I was afraid she would end up as Sale Authority...so now I have a horse!

Sassy is a lucky gal to have found such a wonderful owner. I look forward to hearing about your adventures as the two of you learn together.
