I'm going to guess a Kiger crossbred, though he does have a butt I've seen on some of the Riddle horses; kind of drafty. His shoulder has shades of it too, though it could be the way he is standing and the angle. His barrel/back don't look Kiger.
The Riddle mare I had had a butt like this. I could not put my finger on it until we got a draft gelding in for training and I was like "Bingo!" - same butt, especially from the rear view.

A bit off topic here... it is so odd to hear you refer to the riddle horses as drafty, Michelle. Years ago, in the late 80's and into the early 90's the Riddle HMA horses and Kiger HMA horses were quite easily differentiated, as the Riddle horses were so much more refined and "typey" so to speak, while the Kiger horses were a bigger and heavier boned group. the BLM's intermingling of the 2 HMA's to create more uniformity seemed to have done just that by the 1999 adoption. My Riddle HMA horses are much more refined.

I looked up the mare, Galaxy, on the Kiger mustang directory...she is by Diamond Rio and Kiger Juniper. Kiger Juniper is considered a "found" horse, being from the Paisley HMA. It looks as if Diamond Rio was from the Riddle HMA.
This geldings sire, Bendicion Del Vaquero, is also from the Riddle HMA.

IMHO, Kiger or Riddle HMA have nothing to due with this boy's "look". I'm pretty certain if you do some further checking you will find that Kiger Juniper's freezebrand was from the Kiger HMA but she was gathered from Pasley, hence her listing. So to me it appears that this boy's dam was a mix of both HMAs.
What struck me on first look at this picture is we are looking at a young horse in the gawky stage. Read the ad. He was foaled in June of 2008; started in June of 2010 and according to the ad, ridden heavily. No wonder his poor young back is sagging. Conformation is conformation but I think if we were looking at a picture of the same horse naturally toned for his age we would see a different picture.

I had thought Juniper was from Riddle, then Paisley but don't know where it was said.

Inter-meresting....the whole found horse thing still makes me go "huh?" sometimes!
Karen, thanks for pointing out his age; that does explain his poor back. Growing and working - not a good combo.

even more interesting when the seller admits the other horses he had broke down under such training. Still if your just looking for nice gelding with experience under his belt this guy would fit the bill. He will most likely run into issues as he ages, you won't be riding him into his 20's. Until then I would bet he is a nice riding horse. LOL..I am not trying to sell him, gosh at least not at that price he is asking. I just know I would give him the OK for certian types of riders. The fact he was trained young ridden hard and is ready for a new owner at his age describes the the same horses people I know would be looking at to buy in a QH or Paint.
