Kiger mare owners - are you starting to think about the 2011 breeding season?
Truthsayer’s Sun (out of Kiger MT Truthsayer by Kiger Sun) is available to the public for breeding in 2011.The first ten bookings will get a 20% discount from the $500 breeding fee. A $100 booking fee is requested and will be applied against the breeding fee. We do not do live cover breeding. We will ship semen to your site anywhere in the U.S. for artificial insemination. A.I. is safer for your mare, and for our stallion. Live outside the U.S.? Contact us to see if semen can be shipped to you. The breeding fee balance of $300 ($500 less 20%, less the $100 booking fee), plus semen collection and shipping fees will be due in collected funds before semen will be shipped.
See The Kiger Mustang Company on Facebook to view pictures of Truthsayer’s Sun, and to see pictures of the colt he sired, born in 2010.

How old are his oldest foals? Any pictures of them? I can't wait to see what the mares in Germany produce. Those are some nice mares.

I don't know anything about his oldest foals. I know that his previous owner had bred him once but we didn't get any records of it when we bought him. The only pictures of a foal that we can show you are those of Doc's Kiger on The Kiger Mustang Company facebook site.
We, too, are anticipating the new foals in Germany. It's especially exciting for me as Bejou (one of the German mares) was the first Kiger that I worked with. Dan (Kiger Dan on Facebook) had just asked me to be his apprentice trainer when Bejou came to his barn for training. So I got to learn how to do ground work as Bejou went through her initial training.

Bert,
I plan to breed one of my mares, probably Riddle Rendition, to him in the Spring. I received pictures today of the mares in Germany, standing in deep snow. Kerstin said they prefer staying outside in the weather. She wants me to go over in June and see the new foals, and I just may do it. Tempest and Bejou are both in foal to Truthsayers Sun and Kerstin is anxious to see their babies. Chickory went over open, and once she got there, I think Kerstin was glad that she was. She is still very young and needed another year or two to mature before she is bred.

Glad to hear it! Sounds like it will be a fun international trip with kigers. Hopefully you can grab some pictures for us when you go. I am really excited about that group over there.

Kerstin came to the adoption to find a good stallion to take back to Germany. She needed one to breed her mares next Spring, and to ride in her endurance races. She wanted 1245, but then realized she could not take him out of the country until he was titled, which would be late 2012. So adopting a stallion could not work for her, plus she wanted a good, well trained stallion to ride and promote the breed. So we called Dan Saturday morning just before the adoption started - actually from in front of pen # 30 - and bought Truthsayers Sun. He is so well trained that she can begin riding him immediately, plus he sired her 2011 fillies, both of which are already sold. He leaves here soon for Texas to be isolated, and then flown to Germany. Kerstin will do very well with him.
