Hi Ok- time to introduce myself. I have been lurking for a long time (as in yrs) but have finally joined. I bought Titan from a wonderful woman in PA almost a yr ago. I changed his name to Finn which is short for Finally. I waited a long time for a sound horse, it was well worth the wait and that is how he got his name. Finn lives in NJ and has a 31 yr old QH for company. I am amazed daily by the personality of this horse and how much fun he is to be around. He has taught me a lot in the past yr and hopefully I have taught him a thing or two!

Glad that you joined us. It sounds as though you and Finn have a lot to offer. Hope we have done so for you as you followed the board. Pictures are so welcomed. I'm guessing I know the very wonderful horseperson in PA, and you made an excellent choice.

Hi Finn's Mom:
Was he bred in Oklahoma by Bettye and Carter Roberts? If so I have to tell you a cool story....Back then when I met him he was known as Big Un cause he was so big! He was a yearling at Equifest in Kansas...that yearly horse fair draws several thousand people in crowd size....He and another yearling at the timed nicknamed Kizzy were in a stall together....and I bet at least 50 kids went in that stall that weekend and got thoroughly investigated and slobbered on by the 2 yearlings...plus they were walked in the breed demo a couple times that weekend and were pretty well behaved! My daughter (who is now 14) still remembers that weekend and loving all over those 2!
I hope you post pictures soon!

I remember pictures of him as a foal and how cute he was. Trying to remember, was he also called Little Big Man too?

Wow! What a welcome. Thanks everyone. I pretty sure that all of you are right. Finn is fairly big. He is 15.2 now. Yes, his name is Little Big Man and he did come from Oklahoma. I dont know about Kansas but it would explain his need to sleep in the stall with my old guy! I never thought I would end up with a Kiger, especially since mustangs are not exactly plentiful in NJ. Finn is the most amazing horse I have ever met. The personality far surpasses any horse I have known. I never knew a horse could throw a tantrum like a child until i got him! He is so much different from my QH in so many ways. The only way I can think to explain it that he actually thinks and processes things. Thanks again for the warm welcome. Happy Holidays!

Hi- I joined a few days ago. I'm in Portland Oregon and recently found my dream horse a Grulla Kiger mustang. she's about 5 and has been a pack horse/pasture pony. We are both learning a lot in the 2 months I've had her. I waited my whole life so far for my own horse, Freya. And now i can't imagine not having her. I've been taking care of a 16 yr/o arabian whose owners neglect him, he thinks he's mine. They are so different. Skinny/fast and muscley smoothness. I love to watch them play in the arena together. Anyways could use all the help I can get from more experienced people . Hope Photo fuzzy- this was our first trail ride- went very well At Sandy River delta Attachments:

Hi all, My name is Dee, and I am in Quebec Canada. That little stall mate of Finn, Kizzy, is my filly's dam. A beautiful mare indeed, and (unobjectively) a beautiful filly also. I fell in love with Kigers years ago, when I met a stallion on a dude string no less! Very well behaved he was. I dreamt about owning a mustang and then in October 09, I was blessed enough to receive the gift of Sweet Savvy Diva. I have been around horses for 35 years doing anything from acrobatics, to gymkana, dude strings, to just trail riding. I am older now and not as wild. I am a student of Parelli like teaching (my mentor was with Pat Parelli for 14 years). I follow the old program (pre-2000). I have a coming 14 year old Arab who was diagnosed with COPD in October. He is my main partner right now, as we prepare Ms. Diva (19 months) for the pleasure of standing in and up front to this new challenge. We have been playing alot since I acquired her and she is light and responsive. I am hoping to buy a little cart for her next summer and lightly get her trotting along and conditioned. there are pictures and videos of her on the Diva has a new home forum (I think it is what people are doing with ther kigers posts). Well, I am happy I found this place and thanks to Tiffany for leading me here. This is our three some
