I took some video of me workig with Super, in this video I just want him to allow me to put the pack saddle pad on and off while standing still. He still walks off but that is much better then the first lesson where he ran off everytime I put it on. www.youtube.com/watch?v=w8xQM-69AcE

Great video and I don't know much about Kiger mule crosses, but he is going to be big isn't he? As I recall, Matt's jack is tall. Wonder where he gets that curiosity ;D. I like the way he is still"joined" with you even tho he is not sure about the pad.

Thanks Yes, Super will be big. I love that keeps coming back to me and asking for more, even when he gets a bit spooked or distracted. I am using treats to reward perfect behavior or when he comes back to me. I could just tie him up and have him stand still and have the pack saddle on in under a half hour, but then I would not feel like he truely excepted it. That second video I was actually hoping to capture him bolting away when I was leading him. Just before I turned the camera on he was bolting away. I thought it would be good to show that, you can see a couple times he thoguht about bolting, took his nose away and the slack out of the lead rope but a quick correction and he did not. So from now on I am going to tell him he is being filmed if that is what makes him behave better....LOL

Tiffany:
Great video with Super.....You guys are doing great......And they never do exactly what you want them to do on video, do they? I like the "filmed" idea....Whatever works girl!

He is so sweet when he tries. No big fuss when he refuses, I like that when he is done he just turns and looks at me. I just say nice try and start over and go again, it may take longer to get there but when we do it is so rewarding.

Looked like the only problem in the whole video was the dog didn't get any attention! LOL....Such a nice easy training session on a loose line....Great job Tiffany and Super!
