Will (Horse Springs Willow) is a gaited, registered Kiger / Mustang gelding who will make someone an absolutely awesome trail or endurance horse. He’s had liberty and de-sensitization training, been ponied on the trail, and is just started under saddle. Gorgeous, smooth gaited trot and flowing canter. Will is easy going and fearless; he loves people and attention, and is always the first horse to come see me in the pasture; he likes to put his head over my shoulder. GREAT feet. He’s never had any health issues, and doesn’t have any vices. Gets along well with other horses, dogs, etc. I adore Will, but no longer have the time to spend with his training, and he really wants and deserves a partner. See www.flickr.com/photos/54472615@N07/ for photos and video. I eyeballed him at 15H, about an inch less than my daughter's Arab, but I get 14.2H when I tape him. 6 years old. Asking $2500, but price / terms negotiable to the right home. Located in Maple Valley, WA. PM me for lots of stories, like the time he defended a not-much-smaller Arab from a juvenile cougar attack. This is an AWESOME horse.

Welcome to our board! You can surely share stories you want to all of us any time!
Is this Kiger freezebranded or private bred? It would help if you let us know what HMA he is from or who his parents are. Thanks!

Hey Kim! I'll call you tomorrow I just did the math on his breeding; Will is 1/4 Kiger and 3/4 Mustang based on his papers. He's captive born / bred by My Kiger Kodiak out of Shawave War Chant. His registered # is AK 0049. I bought him from Kim 3 years ago, as a 3-year old. He's dun, with zebra leg strips, dorsal strip, and some white (star, snip, and fetlock/coronet markings). I just posted more photos taken in August.

Stories, well let's see: Will's not at all spooky (I've actually never seen him spook at anything here or on the trail, and our horses are exposed to elk, deer, cougars, bear, bobcats, sheep, dogs, kids, farm and construction equipment, cars driving next to them, tarps, bonfires in the pasture, you name it): he's very confident and pretty bold. Last summer, he went after a juvenile cougar that attacked my son's little Arab gelding. The cougar left the fight That said, my 15-year-old daughter actually rode him in the round pen a bit last year (she wasn't supposed to, since I'd just started getting him used to tack), and he didn't give her any fuss or fight at all. My kids threw a blanket over him for the first time when it got really cold one day after we first brought him home, and he acted like an old pro at it; he's just got a good head. I think he also likes kids, lol. Will loves attention, and will stand at the fence and watch me work the other horses, and is always the first to come see me when I go in the pasture or came back from a trail ride. Kim knows I really wish I could keep him: we've worked with a lot of horses, and Will's got one of the best heads I've ever seen. My husband and I are now doing endurance together, and he's 6'6" and rides a 16.1H gelding. I kept hoping Will would grow taller (I've been doing a "grow" mantra over him for years), but it's not happening, and I just don't have time to train and condition multiple horses. If I did, I'd never consider this. I did consider trading the husband, but I've really put a lot of time and training into him....

wrong math Mel. Kody is captive bred a full Kiger ( both parents freezebranded off of Riddle HMA ) and Mariah is a BLM Mustang. So Wil is half Kiger /full Mustang.
