Except for color these are two peas in a pod. Good thing they are different colors. Are they similar in temperment and personality. Lovely girls.

they are quite different, in personality. Sofie is more sensitive, and reacts to the slightest body language. Stella is more laid back. And Stella is going to be taller, and is already stouter. Not to mention fatter, as she doesn't stop eating to investigate everything like Sofie does!

Beautiful pictures of beautiful horses. Who are they out of, LiL?

Sofie, the 4 year old dun, is by My Kiger Tiger (dun) and out of Kiger Dulcinea (dun), or "Dulcie" as we called her. Dulcie was one of 2 kiger mares I got home with from the 2003 adoption, my first wild horses. Stella, the 3 year old grulla, is by Fuego (red dun), and out of Dulcie. I sold Dulcie and am not doing any breeding now; just concentrating on the training the ones I have.

I have a feeling we'll be seeing some full sisters to Stella ( and possibly even Sofie ) in the future.

Sneaky, very sneaky... Can't pry Stella away from me, so you think you are going to breed one for yourself... There will never be another horse as pretty as Stella! (can you tell, I really love my horse? :-). Actually, I am delighted that Kim has aquired Dulcie, and eager to see if Dulcie and Fuego can create another just as nice.

Good goal! Hope it happens. I like your horses Kim. Ellen's Rocky is a gem.

thanks Linda, I really appreciate the compliment. I won't be doing any experimenting anytime soon, but in the next couple years I'm hoping to cross Fuego on Dulcie again.Rocky is indeed a gem of a horse ( was from day one ) and Ellen has done a fabulous job with him.
