Two 2 year old fillies; dun, basic ground work started, one will be standard Kiger size, the other is already 15 hands. Taller filly sold!
One 12 year old dun freeze branded mare in foal due in November - (it was an accident), not halter broken but mellow.
One 6 year old dun gelding - see avatar on left, started under saddle, very confident and poised, likes to learn new things. Gone to trainer! Not for sale at this time. Pictures and/or video available upon request. No reasonable offer refused as they need homes. Serious inquires only. Located in Central Oregon.

Is the gelding and mare from Riddle or Kiger?

I'm going to assume Fit is from Riddle, hence his name, huh, Bobbe? I'd like to know more about the mare. Is she the dam of either of the 2 year olds? If so which one?

Both the mare and the gelding are from the Riddle HMA. The mare is registered with the Steens Registry, the gelding is registered with the KMA. The fillies are not registered. The mare is from the 1999 adoption, the gelding from 2003. The mare is the dam of one of the fillies - Noni and the granddam of the other-Pele. Pele's dam is a dark dun or bay, you decide as she has leg bars and a dorsal. The dam's sire is Silverado (Littleton's) and the grandsire is Steens Kiger down the sire's side. Here is Noni the taller of the two, daughter of the Riddle mare And Pele. I have pics of her dam and Silverado is on Rick's website I think. Steens, most of us know or have seen.

The gelding and Noni, the taller of the two fillies are removed from the "for sale" world.
I traded the filly for 60 days training for Fit with a great local trainer. We delivered Fit last night and the trainer was impressed. He said after only a few minutes with Fit in the roundpen that he had a good looks, a good mind, confidence and was looking forward to working with him. When he turned him loose in the pen, Fit rolled several times and came up looking Grulla from the greyish dust and seemed to say "feed me". He settled in as though he had been there before. I was proud of his calm demeanor. The trainer has a web site and posts training updates for owners so as soon as Fit is there I will post the URL so you can see what he does with him. It includes mountains, lakes, streams, roadside traffic, hobbling and work at all three gaits in and out of the round pen.

good for you bobbe!! It's always great when you can work something out like that. I hope he does Fit justice! and I'm so gald you can now keep him; I imagine it was eating you up to think of selling him.

Oh I am so happy to hear this news about you being able to keep Fit and have that riding Kiger you have always wanted. As well to place Noni in a new home, that sounds like a great deal for everyone.

Yeah! You give these Kigers to a trainer and the they make converts of them! What a joy it must be for him to have such a great minded horse to train.

The trainer has already been on him, seems we skipped round penning and ground driving. What a boost to my confidence as to my skills. I never doubted Fit's ability, just my teaching. All the work we have been doing for the last few years seems to have paid off. Now I am getting excited to finally have a sane safe riding horse at my disposal again. Now I be able to pony my filly and get her going.
