I am not sure where this should be posted so i figure general will work. I am looking for any Foals by Donner. My mare Dollie was bred to him and their colt is now 6. I have not been able to find any other offspring from him. This is Diego. He was kept intact until this year and i believe he has been gelded. He was bred twice this year so hopefully one of the mares took and will have a colt.  If you have or know of any offspring of Donner please post pictures and info here. Thanks |

As far as I know, unless he was bred while RL had him or when Dreamworks owned him, then there wouldn't be any other offspring from him as he lives at a sanctuary where he is of course not being bred.

I wouldn't be so sure about that Kim. Several years ago they tried to obtain my Kiger mare Dani so they could breed her to Donner and she could be his "permanent pasture mate "
I declined.

My mare was bred in 2003 and foaled in 2004 but from frozen semen. I was offered a re breed from more frozen semen last year as well but i declined. So i know Rick still has it but how much did he originally get? And how much has been used?

I do know the sanctuary that Donner is at sells foals for $$ for the rescued horses, so it surely would not surprise me if he was being bred.

I know they have a Kiger mare as I met her in 2004. Neda's prized herd is a group of Sulphur horses whom she purchased (were never rescues) and she does breed them as per the contract that she signed.
She told me that she doesn't breed Donner (though this was a while back), but it appears with the info above that she probably does... I knew she was breeding Sulphurs as she is required to do so, but I was under the impression that all the other Mustangs on the property were not being bred.

Diego was NOT gelded and is still intact. He has produced two colts and has at least one coming next year i believe.

The Steens Kiger genes are sure evident. He looks alot like my Kiger stallion, Bolero by Kiger Sundance, Donner's brother.
Please share photos of Diego's foals as they arrive. I would love to see this blood line continue.

They are on my FB page i believe, I only got pictures of only one of the two he had. He was a possible stud prospect but sold to a person who couldn't have a stud so he was gelded. He is super cute though. I will get permission to share him here.

Donner is a magnificent stallion, and so is his brother Riddle. and i have him and his son Riddles Little Nugget, out of my mare Little Dunder Storm. Nugget is now 4, Riddle is in his twenty's.
