Your right those are two very nice sized dark geldings. They look as though they will clean up nice regardless of the numbered hinnys. Good Luck with your boys, I do hope they have nice complimentary attitudes as well.

The brands do mean they were headed for LTH. Now those brands are their badge that somebody liked them enough to give them a home. You can see every day that without you they would have gone to LTH and a not so nice forever.
You earned a couple jewels for your crown for adopting these horses.

Here's a couple of my daughter's yearling she's competing at the EMM with....His name is Steens Valero (he's from South Steens HMA). And to keep it Kiger oriented, meeting my 3yr old Kiger gelding Cordero:

How lucky those two geldings are to have you working with them instead of going to long term holding.

Jessie's doing so awesome with Valero!! I'm sooooo glad she's getting to do this, how exciting!! I wish they had stuff like this when I was that age! LOL
And Cordero is getting big! He's really filled out in the past year!

Just five and already hip branded? To be honest, I LOVE that hip brand. Tika was never done as she'd been too heavy in foal when they were doing the branding. She somehow escaped that fate, but if she had it, I'd hope she would wear it with honor. It says to the world, "I am not worthless and untrainable simply because of my age!" Looking forward to more updates!

Cindy:
Thanks for the compliments, I"m proud of my girl!
Tracey: Several of the horses the adult trainers picked up were hip branded....When you love those brands, I think the 2nd one is even more meaningful, ya know? I can't wait to see these older horses flourish and hope that the MHF PERMANENTLY raises the age of horses they use for the adults to 5 and over....
