Kiger Filly needs home

Her name is Fiona and she is a very sweet, very calm, 2 year old captive bred Kiger Mustang Filly. She loves people (especially kids because they give her lots of attention).

This is what she can do: Leads, Ties, Ponies very well, Loads, Trailers, bathes (even her face), Clean tits, play with butt (desensitization to AI breeding), Braid main, tail and forelock, Play with mouth to look at teeth, Stretches out legs, Gives legs to be placed where you want them, Backs when rope wiggles, stops when you stop, walks at your speed, lunges, Bridles, Saddles, Super easy to catch in a large pasture, Puts on own halter, Moves over with slight pressure, Picks up all feet on command (tap the leg), Touches nose to hand on command, Good for Farrier, Wary of vet but takes it with encouragement, Pasture and/or bale fed, Strong feet, Good with other horses, been exposed to cattle. She is registered and will mature at around 14.1-2 hh. She does carry the Dun gene.

Has been started on moving off of leg pressure, ground driving, a stop from on top and behind, and on turns with leg pressure and Direct reining, We are currently still working on turning with leg pressure and direct reining as well as a stop. She will stop when bumped and given the verbal command "whoa". She is currently being ridden only in a halter but will be switched to a hackamore or bosal in the next few weeks if she is still with me as well as go to a trainer for a lesson to get her further along. She sounds like a great gal. Hope she finds a home - the market is pooweee right now but it will turn around soon. Just keep putting saddle time on her, I've found that a good trained saddle horse will sell much faster than a greenie. It's just the market right now, no one wants to put the time into the youngs ones anymore because there are so many out there. Good luck!

Thanks she is a great little girl. I try to work her as much as i can but i have so much to do that she sits there some days just looking at me like "aren't you going to feed me?" (as she is out in a big grass filled pasture). She is so great to work with though. i can let her sit there and only do ground work for a week or so and then throw a saddle on her and she could care less. I am at a slight impass with her right now because i have done all i know how to do. I have never started a horse under saddle before so i only know a little. She is doing great with what i have done with her but I really need to get her to the trainer to have him help. I never thought it would be this hard to figure it out. oops. I am no beginner when it comes to horses ... i just normally deal with little babies to two year olds ready to start and then older already started horses whom their owners need some small assistance because they are too scared to sit on a horse that has attitude and will buck when you try to make it do what it doesn't want to do (like walk in the arena). So i have completely missed this step in the training process. Better late then never to learn. Luckally this little beauty could care less about how or where or when she is worked. As long as she gets some loving every day she is perfectly good. She has never offered me any attitude and for that i am thankful. She has been the nicest and easiest horse that i have dealt with in a while.
