Well, it's over! What a weekend. It was so much fun. Jesse Houston finished 4th in the youth division, we're SO proud of her. What a sweet, sweet girl. Steens Valero was being a bad boy or she would have placed a lot higher. He even kicked her in the stomach during the Craig Cameron race! Noche and I made the Top 10 and finished 9th last night. It was a blast to be in the finally! Noche was so good. When we were excepting our awards it finally hit me, "wow he did all of that in 100 days!" He is amazing. Adoption is at noon and I will let him go if someone is really interested. I will try not to cry

Jessi, Congratulations to you for your astounding accomplishment, in spite of Valero's temporary lapse of good behavior. Perhaps he didn't want anyone to bid on him in the auction so he could return home with you. He sure was looking good. You all make us proud!

Well the horses sold today, but Jackson is coming home with us. Kevin got him for only $175. Noche went to a good home, but only brought $375. I don't understand it, most horses were selling for $700 average. Kevin and Jackson finished 14th. We had SUCH a great time and met so many nice people. We met Angela and Jessie (they are so sweet)! And we got to meet Kristi and Randy Billinger. Wish we had more time to visit with them, but there was so much to do. I would do it all over again!

Ah, it was so great to meet Lisa and Kevin....Didn't get to see Kevin ride too much but got to see Lisa ride a couple times on Noche.....What a sweet boy she trained...Lisa has wonderfully quiet hands and Noche trotted a serpentine through cones like a dressage horse; it was beautiful to see....we fell in love with Noche and if we had room in our small acreage, he'd be home with us!!! The prices were dismal.....so much work goes into these horses.....
Jessi and Valero did ok....Valero was being a butthead....but they still managed to place 4th....If they had to do the pivots and lunging like the MHF said they would do, I believe they would have done even better...Valero was just DONE with crowds by Saturday.....It's ok, we still love the little dude....He'll be a nice gelding....

I got my whole video put together by my cousin. It turned out pretty cool I think. Alls I can say is, "do you know how harrd it is to ride a green horse in a snaffle with one hand while carrying the flag?" Especially because I didn't get it in the flag boot right away. I practiced with the flag for only two minutes with Noche'. What a special horse he is. Thanks to Kevin for coming up with my routine at the last minute. www.youtube.com/watch?v=DE20L_GUBgY
