I am excited to announce that my daughter Jessi will be one of the Youth EMM trainers 09/2010 in Nebraska.....but imagine my shock and surprise to find out that Kevin and Lisa Sink are on the trainers list for the adults!!! I hope to hear that they will be bringing Dino along with their EMM horses for the Craig Cameron Competitive Trail Challenge that is going to happen at the EMM...Would love to see him in the flesh again.....
SO if anyone happens to be at the venue look us up...My daughter (who's 13) is BEYOND excited after having attended 2 of these events as a spectator when friends entered as trainers. She is counting the day down until the time we go to Elm Creek to pick up her yearling! She's got her dad building new bridges and other obstacles to play with....and she's getting her blog ready to go....
I am proud to announce that our Midwest Mustang Club has 3 adult trainers participating, along with my daughter....and another gal is doing the Supreme Mustang event.....
Excited in Missouri,
Angela ;D

How double exciting is that!!! Doing the EMM challenge at 13 is awesome, and meeting the senks and Dino is an added bonus! I will be looking forward to hearing all about this, for sure.

Go, Jessi!
And how exciting for Kevin and Lisa! I thought it was a stroke of genius to allow the mustangs the option of doing the cowboy race; I'd have loved to given it a shot last year with Steve Holt!.

Yes, we are planning on bringing Dino for the Craig Cameron Extreme trail challenge. And we are hoping to compete with both our EMM horses in the trail challenge also. Kevin talked me into doing this one. I was going to do the Oregon one next year, but summertime seems like way more fun for training than winter!
Angela, tell Jessi we are looking forward to meeting her and we are proud of her, I know she will do great!

OK...Here's Jessi's blog if any of you are interested: mustangcrazy.weebly.com/blog.htmlI am amazed that we went to Elm Creek to pick up the "plain brown horses" that the MHF usually assigns, and I assumed we'd get a Nevada or Wyoming horse....Instead I was AMAZED that we got a South Steens colt! Too cool....He's gonna be BIG. My Kiger colt is about 3 and he's 14.2 right now and the yearling is almost as tall as him with an estimated age of just over a year. Today he met my Kiger gelding Cordero and we round penned them together....the colt was getting a bit stuck at times and I thought what the heck....He and Cordero got along fine and Cord knows everything with just voice commands so he followed Cordero along and was a star pupil after his "big brother" taught him....LOL... The Mustangs look fabulous, I love all the great pictures. ;D I am very excited to hear how it goes at the EMM for you guys and for Angela's daughter Jessi. Had something like this been going on when I was kid or even when my daughter was younger we would have grasped at the opportunity. GO MUSTANGS!!

Valero is downright stunning! Jessi, you've done such a great job with him. Kahlua was a great help too - I can tell from your blog. You're going to have so much fun and do well at EMM. Kevin and Lisa, we're all proud of you, AGAIN, for doing such a great job. Can't wait to see the pictures and hear all about it.

Good luck all of you folks. Looks like your doing a great job with your horses.
I'm glad to see someone else has horses that steal MT. Dew and drink it out of the bottle.

Thanks for all the well wishes...I know my daughter appreciates them!
Speaking of the Mtn. Dew.....I had a friend growing up who's horse (an appy named Marty Feldman because he was seriously bug eyed) would ONLY chug Mtn. Dew....That's funny that you all have horses that like it!
