Hey all, we've got a great ride coming up in a few weeks! Jackpot ride on Saturday, Trail Challenge on Sunday. 6-8 mile rides, natural obstacles, not a timed event...just a lot of fun!  |

Just a quick report to say the ride went well! Rain stopped for the challenge ride on Sunday and we had 49 riders. Organizers put some money in the bank plus gave a donation to Mustang U...  Katie won a pretty new bronc halter for being top mustang youth. Sandy & I tied for first in our division but I lost it in the tie breaker  Had a good day in the saddle! Looking forward to next year! |

It was a great deal of fun, and the rain held off for the entire ride! The funniest part was when Katie tried to pick up the slicker and carry it with Steve Holt!. Remember, this is the horse I could drag anything with and who will run through a sheet of colored plastic without question when you point him at it. But could she carry that slicker? NO! He spun a 180 and took off into the brush, lol! After that, I opted not to attempt putting the slicker on (bonus points if you did) because Sandy watched her rodeo and was snorting at that yellow mustang eating paraphernalia. Had I made an attempt to get it onto even one arm, I'd have won my division But hey, it was all about fun, right? |
