Bravo did awesome! We scored extremely well on everything (Backing between two hills, poles, tarp, slicker, pick up a cowboy hat on the ground with a stick, and cowboy curtain) but the rain slicker--he did fine, I just should've slowed down and been more precise--positioned him better, etc... We placed extremely well-- 6th!! Can't wait for the next one :-)

Sounds fun...I've done many obstacle challenges on my kiger mare Lakota and she loved it and we did great! I'm hoping to do some ACTHA rides this year as well, was this your first ACTHA ride, what did you think of it? What is the bow in the tail for? Altho cute...

This was our first ACTHA ride and I enjoyed it--it's very laid back, you take your time with the trail portion, where as in NATRC there is more of an endurance factor. I was able to ride with friends, but it wouldn't be hard to hook up with a group--everyone was pretty nice. The yellow ribbon was an ACTHA requirement to let other riders know Bravo was a stallion. Bravo's had "Stud Puppy" written on his :-) I rode with 3 geldings and a mare and he treated them all the same, curious and social and well-mannered. We even rode directly behind the mare awhile. Everyone was very impressed with his manners and temperment. He got a lot of attention
