I was off for 4 days and boy did I get a lot done with Ms.Bella. We had our first saddling Friday and she did soooo great! Not one buck. As I was saddling her, she would stick her head back there and test taste the blanket and saddle but that's it. I did a lot of prep work before I actually put the saddle on. I had already got her used to the tightness in the cinch area last year and in the flank area. She was amazing! So proud of her. I also hauled her to an arena yesterday just to get her out, along with a young gelding that hadn't been out much either and she was so good and bold and took the lead very quickly, he was following her around as she checked everything (and I mean everything, you guys know how Kigers notice everything ) out! Over the 4 day's we also had some patience tying...I've seen recently that she's become pretty impatient and won't stand still while tied, paws and slings her head more, but some is my fault from having such a horrid winter, I've not been able to work with her a lot this past winter but after one day of the patience lesson, she realized what was going on and now is much quieter. They sure come along quickly!
