I found this good food for thought. I've been thinking about "feel" ever since I read Bill Dorrance's book. This reminded me of some of the things Beth was teaching when I was learning dressage with Chinook, about keeping such a light leg and opening the leg to make room for the horse to go in that direction instead of pushing them over with the opposite leg. www.lesliedesmond.com/index.php?id=715

Exactly what Curt teaches; leave room for the horse to go somewhere. I swear that man should be stupid rich rather than the young clinicians who are out there. I'll check out that link, Dianne. I must admit that I don't pay much attention to other trainers or famous names, simply because I've got such a jewel of a teacher here, but it's definitely good to know what others are up to and teaching and doing.

Thanks for the link! When I first started looking for others who had worked with mustangs, trying to find some help with Mari who'd turned out to be far more challenging than was let on-- --I was told over and over--read Bill Dorrance's book.
