I've received dozens of requests for video on our foundation Kiger filly, Mirella. This video was done for our own use. October 2009, 3rd ride. We evaluate horses at 2-years-old to see how they move on a lunge line and how they react to a rider (with short 5-10 minute rides). Video gives us a baseline for training as three-year-olds. Ella is a strong example of a calm and willing mind, balanced gaits and proper conformation. (Many young horses can't lope a circle in an open arena without going off balance, pulling on the line or breaking gait.) Ella is perfect for western pleasure, english hacking, trail. (Dressage is my passion.) We purchased her as a weanling at the 2007 BLM auction. She was our first choice out of all the HMA Kiger fillies. She is offered for sale, to the right person/farm who will set a future for this mare to be a strong representative of the Kiger breed, as we are doing at Hilltop Farm of Oregon. Partnerships considered. Ella's training will continue with shows, clinics and expositions this summer. NOTE...regarding the short mane, we braid for video so we can see the neck at all times. This is a working video. hilltopfarm-oregon.com/sales/mirella-Gin

What a beaufiful name for such a nice, willing and qiet filly. You shouldn't have any difficulty placing her in the correct home. Ella's future looks promising, especially if placed in the proper hands. She's had a good start already. You've done a great job with her so far. Melissa

Wow...beautiful filly Gin....You picked a good one, but then I knew that at the adoption! It's great seeing how lovely these horses have matured...

Thank you for the nice COMPLIMENTS........ Mirella is already SOLD!! Her new owner breeds Peruvian Pasos and she is delighted to have her first Kiger. Ella will be at our farm for a few months to get more advanced saddle training. She will join Janniece for shows, expositions and many happy trails. I'm very pleased with Ella's new partner. (For those interested, sorry we do NOT have any other Kigers for sale at Hilltop Farm.......only a chestnut Lusitano mare is for sale.)
Next, I will post an update on our tall 2 y.o. Kiger colt, Cruiser. He's absolutely stunning!! Full of brio...Visitors to the farm cannot tell the difference between him and our PSL Lusitano colt. He's chases down the dog like a bull-fighting Lusitano, arches his neck and does passage across pen as if to say....See, I'm just as good! And of course, he loves his face rubbed....that nice Kiger temperament. I promise to stay in touch on the Board, with Cruiser updates.
All the best, Gin
