I talked my daughter into taking some pictures as I headed out to hit the trails. Riding Mystie and with Fantasy in tow, I am taking this week to get Fantasy used to the trails. Weather permiting, the weatherman is threatening rain, but we shall see. Not to mention leaving the herd and her mule son behind. All in preperation to get her to start hauling my ol' bum around and give Mystie a break from the all day rides. Just getting ready to head out.. Trying to get my gloves on Fantasy is sure I have treats another nice pose Fantasy just being goofy...LOL

We had a very nice ride and I was very proud of Fantasy, in that I did not have to drag her through the ride. She kept up with me side by side, with an excellant working walk and trotted the trail real nicely. Mystie is no slow poke. One exception I had to drag her pass some neighborhood geldings that she wanted to show some love, as she is very much in heat.

Cute, pictures! Is she resting her nose on you in the first picture? What is it about Kigers that they love to do that?

Yes, she is DianneC...I think Kigers are the huggers of the horse breed they like contact. Wickee, Cleo' they are all the same and so is Super. My neighbor's old Kiger Odie has to rest his chin on his owner if she is out there too and they are all friendly. Now the new Kiger gelding that moved in named Remmington is shy and cautious of strangers, he won't come close. We joke around that he has a glitch, all our Kigers think strangers are just new people they can make pet them and that don't know enough to push them away...LOL.
